The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of retatrutide in participants with type 2 diabetes who have obesity or overweight (J1I-MC-GZBK master protocol) including a subset of participants who have obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) (J1I-MC-GSA2).

Key Requirements

Clinical trials have inclusion and exclusion requirements to determine which individuals qualify for participation. Listed below are key requirements for this clinical trial, but there may be additional requirements to qualify.

Participants Must:

  • Have excess weight

  • Have Type 2 Diabetes

  • Are on stable treatment for Type 2 Diabetes for at least 90 days before starting study

  • Have a history of at least 1 self-reported unsuccessful dietary effort to reduce body weight

Participants Must Not:

  • Have a self-reported or documented change in body weight >11 pounds within 90 days before screening

  • Have taken weight loss drugs, including over-the-counter medications, within 90 days prior to screening

  • Have a prior or planned surgical treatment for obesity

  • Have Type 1 diabetes

  • Have family or personal history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN-2)

  • Have had pancreatitis
